Employee Relations Specialist
Fike Corporation, a rapidly growing international manufacturer of pressure relief, explosion protection, fire suppression and detection equipment, has an opportunity for an Employee Relations Specialist position. Fike is a privately held business located in Blue Springs, MO with over 400 employees locally & over 1,200 employees worldwide.
Job Summary:
Provides professional, administrative, and technical support in the areas of employee relations. The Employee Relations Specialist will carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, policy interpretation and application, performance management, investigations, exit interviews, etc. The Employee Relations Specialist will work collaboratively across the HR department and with leaders to deliver a positive employee experience.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the environment is general office work and the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, hear, see, stand, sit, and use hands.
Job Qualifications:
REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources/related field or equivalent combination of experience and education. Three years or more of related experience. Working knowledge of legislation related to Human Resources. Verbal and written communication skills to communicate credibly and effectively. Experience with HRIS software. Ability to treat confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Ability to remain tactful, calm and persuasive in controversial and/or confrontational situations. Adheres to the Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) policies and procedures related to NIST 800-171 and completes all required CUI Awareness training, which includes collection, processing/handling, transmission, storage, and general safeguarding practices.
PREFERRED: Manufacturing industry experience. Professional Human Resources certification, such as PHR or SHRM-CP.
