Job Description: Benefit Administration Client Service Representative

A Benefit Administration Client Service Representative is responsible for communicating with clients and carriers to assist with a variety of benefit-related questions, escalating potential system issues to other team members and therefore possesses excellent follow-through skills to manage a high volume of short and long-term projects to the point of completion.

Position Responsibilities and Duties of the Benefit Administration Client Service Representative

• Maintaining an active relationship with existing clients and servicing client inquiries
• Assist clients with billing issues or questions
• Assist with claims process for voluntary benefits
• Assist carriers with completion of underwriting questionnaires
• Test carrier enrollment system for upcoming enrollments
• Gain a working knowledge of the PlanSource Benefit Enrollment portal
• Process benefit changes in the Benefits Enrollment Platform
• Review carrier provided benefit change reports weekly
• Utilizing Microsoft Excel for auditing, reporting, reconciliation, analyzing & scrubbing data

Position Requirements and Experience of the Benefit Administration Client Service Representative

• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, while working under minimal supervision
• Disciplined and persistent work style to pursue short-term to long-term action items with tenacity through to completion
• Strong client service skills, which allow for the management of client expectations and relationships
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Must be organized and able to demonstrate prior experience shepherding a process from start to finish
• Employer Sponsored Group Insurance administration knowledge required
• Worksite Voluntary Benefit administration knowledge preferred
• Florida 2-15 Life and Health Insurance License is useful

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38,000.00 – $48,000.00 per year
