HPA Classroom Teacher

Essential Job Function:

• Provide daily instruction for students
• Create and implement effective lesson plans that promote the highest levels of academic scholarship, problem solving, and creative expression
• Collaborate with other faculty to create curriculum, develop student relationships, and prepare students for further training
• Attend staff meetings and professional development workshops as required
• Create and maintain positive communication with administration, staff, faculty, students, and parents
• Have fun and enjoy making a difference in the lives of children and their families

Essential Job Requirements:

• Education – Bachelor’s degree required. Teacher certification or Highly Qualified designation required.
• Required Skills and Capabilities – Strong classroom management skills; ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team; excellent verbal and written communication.
• Preferred Skills and Capabilities – Proven experience collaborating with others to develop interdisciplinary academic products/classroom activities.
• Physical Requirements – Ability to carry up to 25 lbs.; valid driver license.
