The Department of School Leadership/Middle & Secondary Teacher Education at Emporia State University seeks qualified candidates for a nine-month, full time, tenure track Assistant Professor position in Secondary Education. The appointment begins August 2022 with the future possibility of summer teaching assignments.

We seek a dynamic, adaptable, and articulate team player who will complement our innovative faculty.
Required Qualifications:
· Doctorate or ABD in a related field;
· Record of successful recent middle level and/or high school teaching experience;
· Strong background in instruction and learning environments with emphasis on educational psychology, teaching and learning with mobile technology, classroom management, foundations of education, and assessment.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Skill in student-centered instruction;
· Proficiency in online instruction
· Experience in interdisciplinary or integrated studies;
· Experience with differentiated instruction;
· Experience working with diverse populations and/or addressing diversity issues within the public school classroom.
Responsibilities:
Candidates must be dedicated to teaching undergraduate and graduate students and committed to advising, supervision of student teachers, committee participation, scholarly activity (e.g. grants, articles), and professional service.
