Emerson Electric Looking for Welder Full Time
AS A WELDER, YOU WILL:
– Adjust welder settings based on metallurgical properties of metal used in blueprint to ensure quality welds
– Work from blueprints, to set up and weld parts using appropriate fixtures
– Operate hand grinders as needed
– Visually inspect work and fixturing on an on-going basis to check quality standards and the appearance of the product
Required Skills – External
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
– High School Diploma, GED, or demonstrated ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations at a high school level
– Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50lbs
– 1-year experience MIG Welding in Production setting
– Ability to read and follow welding symbols on blueprints
– Ability to communicate effectively and work in a cooperative manner to support a team environment
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
– Associates Degree in any field
– AWS Certification
– Knowledge of metallurgical properties or related course work
– 3-5 years experience MIG Welding in Production setting
