This starts with the creation of a new Employee Experience team, which will be responsible for the design and execution of all colleague facing interactions; ensuring we create a positive experience through the moments that matter and ensure full compliance through all our processes and procedures.

The HR Director of Employee Experience will build and lead a cohesive team with a mission of designing and operationalizing new processes and services (Such as onboarding, promotions, offboarding, and employee relations activities). They will also be responsible for implementing a system to triage and respond to all colleague queries, with appropriate escalations as needed.

Establishing Employee Experience Function

Build a high-performing and engaged Employee Experience team, with HR professionals that have expertise in Customer Service, Employee Relations, Compliance and HR processes.
• Develops and publishes updated Employment Handbooks and Policies for all jurisdictions in the Americas.
• Develops and/or advises on the development of frameworks, policies, and procedures.
• Working with HRBPs, COEs, and HR Operations & Technology teams, designs, and operationalizes workflows for all colleague facing interactions such as Onboarding, Offboarding, Employment changes, Leaves of Absence, etc.
• Design and implement a new Tiered Colleague Query system and process to effectively manage all colleague HR questions, ensuring a positive and timely experience.
• Develops and maintains Human Resources e-filing system, including confidential employee personnel files in partnership with People Operations Specialists. Develops and maintains tools and processes to scale function.

Ongoing Responsibilities

• Manages a team of HR professionals, creating a high performing and engaging culture.
• Continuously identifies and implements process and service improvements.
• Becomes an effective, trusted, and credible advisor to HRBPs and Managers on employee relations, compliance, and engagement topics.
• Remains up to date on human resources trends and provides recommendations to improve employment policies and procedures, consistent with best practices.
• Participates on committees, performs special projects, and other duties based on organizational needs.
• Acts as the escalation point for all employee relations activities and handles complex cases directly.
• Own the Americas HR intranet and all relevant content such as our employment policies, guidelines, and handbooks.
• Working with HRBPs, lead consistent execution of employee relations activities such as Reductions in Force, Performance Management, or other similar activities.
• Studies both existing and new legislation and advises management on necessary actions to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal legal requirements.
• Ensure time tracking and absence management policies, systems and processes are up to date, compliant and efficient.
• Lead regular audits, ensuring full compliance with all legislation across all jurisdictions.
• Keeps a pulse on current labor relations trends, regulatory requirements, and HR practices to proactively recommend programs, changes and improve the employee experience.

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree with specialization in Human Resources, or related field; equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered with extensive specialized experience.
• Minimum of (8) years of progressive HR experience, with prior experience in a management capacity; HR credential and/or professional certification is a plus.
• Prior experience working in a centralized HR support function is highly desired
• Expertise in employee relations and compliance and two (2) or more other areas desired: policy design, total rewards, benefits, talent management, people analytics, learning and development, and strategic planning.
• Demonstrated knowledge of HR policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including but not limited to, EEO, ADA, ADEA, FLSA, Title VII, and FMLA.
• Prior experience in Canada, Mexico or global employment law is desired but not required.
• Excellent writing and computer skills and proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience working in Microsoft D365 HRIS is desired but not required.
• Ability to set direction, develop and lead learning while advancing strategies that improve user adoption and manage end user expectations.
• Ability to handle matters of confidentiality with utmost tact and diplomacy; ethical decision making.
• Strong consultation, influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to seek out information and provide quality advice.
