Director of Recruitment

EF High School Exchange Year sponsors international high school students who spend a semester or academic year living with host families across the United States. With a bustling network of 1,000 local coordinators, 1,500 partnering high schools and 3,000 volunteer host families, our program relies on strong leadership, clear communication, and consistent support to achieve our goals of quality and growth.
In this dynamic role, you’ll oversee recruitment efforts in all regions of the U.S. You will directly manage staff, motivating staff towards team and individual goals. Your team’s primary focus is to source and recruit coordinators to help grow and develop the structure of this program in a quality way. Your ability to build relationships and motivate a diverse group of independent contractors is crucial to this role, as is the ability to work effectively with your domestic and international colleagues. Your outstanding communication and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, good judgment, and sincere passion for international education will ensure the experience of a lifetime for all or our exchange students. As part of a driven, goal-oriented, and hard-working team, you’ll gain invaluable experience and skills in areas such as marketing, volunteer management, and cross-cultural communication.
In this role you must be able to think quickly on your feet, multi-task, and provide the team you manage with guidance, professional development, support, and the tools to be successful in their roles. You are incredibly proactive and can balance the big-picture company goals with day-to-day management and tasks. You have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. You are a quick learner, your communication skills are superior and your commitment to growth, customer service and quality is second to none. You have an entrepreneurial spirit and a think outside of the box mentality to bring forward new proposals and ideas that will continually enhance our exchange program.

EF High School Exchange Year (HSEY) is a non-profit high school foreign exchange program affiliated with Education First. We bring students from around the world to live with volunteer host families and enroll in local high schools for either one semester or a full academic year.
