ECC is seeking candidates for an A/P Specialist 1 – Accounting Clerk III position working on-sitein Maui for fires debris cleanup.Qualified local candidates are encouraged to apply. This position is full time and provides a full benefits package. This position requires working extended days (including Saturday) and extended hours, as needed by the project. This position is responsible for reviewing and processing vendor invoices. Handles general vendor issues and problems, and coordinates payment schedule with corporate accounting office in Burlingame, CA. In this position, you will:
- Receive and distribute vendors’ invoices for approval
- Utilize ECC’s Service ticketing app and subcontractor’s ADMS database to validate billed hours
- Process vendors’ invoices for payment
- Review invoices for coding and amount accuracy
- Resolve and handle vendor issues
- Distribute weekly AP lists for review by Project Manager
- Maintain a listing of all project leases and confirm monthly rents are paid: both for employee housing and office use
- Maintain a list of accrued costs that have not yet been entered into the ECC accounting system for month-end financial reporting
- File the vendors’ invoices and maintain the folders on ECC’s SharePoint/MS Teams
- Prepare and maintain the departments’ supplies
- Prepare the weekly out-going Federal Express Packages
- In addition to the accountabilities above, other responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables may be assigned to the incumbent of this position
Requirements
- Ability to communicate in written and verbal formats
- Working knowledge of accounts payable procedures
- Facility with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and Sumifs/lookups
- One year of work experience in a position directly related to accounts payable or accounting
- Ability to work overtime hours and possibly Saturday’s.
- Education – This position requires a high school diploma. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field
ECC targeted base pay rate for this position is $23.28 hourly.
