Organizational Unit Overview:
The Department of Comparative Medicine provides housing and care for vertebrate animals used in research and teaching at the Brody School of Medicine and ECU. This includes the provision of appropriate housing, husbandry, and behavioral management, preventive medicine and clinical care, technical and surgical research support, and ensuring compliance with multiple federal regulators and accreditation bodies. Facilities encompass over 70,000 square feet, and species include fish, birds, and mammals.

Duties of this position include:
Coordinate sterilization quality control (q.c.) with the medical technologist:
Animal Care and Sanitation for Conventionally Housed Animals:
Make minor repairs and report other deficiencies to the supervisor:
The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University is affiliated with ECU Health Medical Center, which serves as its teaching hospital, as well as the flagship hospital for ECU Health.Minimum Education/Experience:
