Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Maintains utmost level of confidentiality at all times.
- Adheres to hospital policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates business practices and personal actions that are ethical and adhere to corporate compliance and integrity guidelines.
- Studies, standardizes, and/or implements procedures to improve efficiency of accounts payable processing.
- Reviews accounts payable transactions to ensure accuracy and conformance to policies and procedures.
- Gathers vendor information for 1099 reporting purposes. Prepares Forms 1099 according to IRS regulations.
- Directs processing of invoices, credit memos, check requests, and/or travel vouchers.
- Reviews, or directs review of, vendor statements.
- Directs processing of manual checks, voided, unused, and stop paid checks.
- Processes payment runs and oversees the distribution of all checks.
- Answers inquiries from vendors and employees concerning invoices, check requests, travel vouchers, and/or payments.
- Maintains accounts payable control reports.
- Balances subsidiary accounts payable liability accounts to the general ledger.
- Assists with monthly and year-end closing of general ledger by reviewing assigned accounts, preparing schedules, and recording accruals, if necessary.
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
