Job Description
The Information Technology Coordinator is responsible for the management and execution of the Agency’s IT infrastructure. The IT Systems Coordinator must maintain the Agency’s hardware, software and network in both cloud and on-premise environments. They will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of Microsoft 365 and Azure services in a multi-cloud environment for approximately 50 end users. Duties will include technical and administrative tasks to ensure optimal functionality, efficiency and reporting to stakeholders on IT and telecom systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Provide daily help desk support by troubleshooting and resolving user hardware and software issues.
· M365 administrator to include Outlook, Teams, Exchange, SharePoint, and Azure Active Directory.
· Maintain the Agency’s IT computing needs including cloud systems, on-prem servers, networks, workstations, printers, and other hardware/software as needed.
· Manage end user accounts and provide system administrator support (e.g., activation/deactivations, password resets, threat prevention/response, compliance, etc.).
· Institute and manage security protocols across systems, specifically email and devices.
· Assist with day-to-day enrollment, provisioning and monitoring of devices to include Mobile Device Management (MDM).
· Manage IT assets lifecycle including LAN appliances (e.g., Wireless Access Points, Switches, and Firewall devices) and end-user devices – primarily Dell and Microsoft.
· Create and/or maintain IT network diagram and schematics.
· Support & maintain existing third-party applications and the development of new solutions.
· Work in a consultative fashion with other departments as an advisor of technology and innovation to improve efficiencies.
· Evaluate current and long-term system requirements and provide recommendations for improvements.
· Develop guides and training materials to assist end users with understanding and adoption of systems.
· Update Agency IT Manuals and Policy & Procedure documents relating to IT.
· Assist in special projects, providing expertise to implement special computing solutions and integration of third-party software.
· Manage the Agency’s IT budget, licenses and maintenance schedules.
· Gather and submit data as requested for audits, hearings and legal requests.
· Perform other duties as required
KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science/IT, Software Engineering or related degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience is required
· Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert – or ability to obtain certification within first year of employment (Agency sponsored).
· 5-7 years of experience in Information Technology, Software Development, Programming, Engineering or related IT field.
· 2+ years of experience in help desk and/or end user support services.
· 3-5 years of experience managing a client support service and/or technical environment.
· Systems administration and management in the following technologies: Exchange Online with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online and One Drive.
· Knowledge and experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) to include laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
· Strong knowledge of PowerShell scripting experience is a plus.
· Knowledge of 3rd Party LDAP application integration and single sign on (SSO).
· Ability to problem solve, diagnose and troubleshoot network and software concerns.
· Must be able to pass a Public Trust Clearance background check
