Disney Parks And Resorts Looking for Area Mechanic- Electrician, Walt Disney World Full Time

The Area Mechanic-Electrician is more than just a modern day Ironman of electricity. They respond to power outages, work on rewiring equipment, run conduit for fixtures, respond to trouble tickets, inspect electrical components, and install or rewire lighting. The Area Mechanic- Electrician is expected to bend electrical conduit and install various types of electrical raceways. The field service position may include work from elevated platforms and confined spaces throughout the Walt Disney World Parks and Resort property.

Starting Pay Rate for this position is $26.29/hour

Basic Qualifications :

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the electrical field
• Proven experience with 3-phase power distribution up to 480V
• Knowledge of AC/DC motors, motor controls, motor repair, VFD, solid state systems, lighting, lighting controls, hydraulic and pneumatic control circuits
• Ability to read blue prints and schematics
• Ability to perform fault isolation and repair failed systems
• Experience with conduit and electrical raceways
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency in standard office software programs and mobile electronic devices
