Job Summary:
Organizes and performs all tasks which support the operation of the Urban Testing Center.
Essential Functions:
Schedules, administers and proctors Challenge tests, pre-admission, and make-up exams for DMACC students. Administers and proctors certification exams for DMACC students, area businesses, and distance learning courses from DMACC and other schools.
Organizes systematic storage of tests and insures the confidentiality and security of all tests; works within FERPA regulations; schedules testing times and dates for individualized testing; monitors the facility to prevent cheating and when appropriate, takes necessary steps to report results to the appropriate faculty.
Provides information to students on testing performance and if needed, refers students to the appropriate DMACC staff. Posts testing scores to Banner.
Maintains faculty files; screens and routes incoming calls and relays messages; monitors testing calendar; distributes mail; mails completed exams to appropriate agencies, provides clerical support as needed for the Testing Center as assigned by the Testing Center Coordinator.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent.
One year of clerical or general office experience. (Postsecondary education in any field may substitute for the required experience. Fifteen semester credits are equivalent to 6 months of experience.)
Ability to interact effectively, courteously and impartially with diverse populations.
Knowledge of current software applications.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in an educational institution.
Some postsecondary education in a related field.
