Basic Functions: Strategize, plan, create, and oversee total compensation program, including salary, incentive pay,
leave programs, health and welfare benefits, and retirement plans. Collaborate closely with senior management and HR team. Take a hands-on
approach to ensuring proper administration of compensation and benefits.
Job Functions: Plan, design, and administer
salary programs for hourly and exempt staff.Collaborate with senior management and HR team to maintain a market competitive compensation
program and maintain internal equity. Oversee job descriptions, FLSA classifications, and salary grade assignments.Engage with consultants
as needed to assist in maintaining competitive programs. Develop and oversee compensation policies.Develop and manage annual salary budget
process, working with senior management, budget, and HR team. Oversee annual salary letters and information system updates, working with HR
team and IT as necessary.Manage and oversee all benefit programs at the college including open enrollment. Develop and execute benefit
communications. Collaborate with benefit consultants to manage programs, cost, bid programs, negotiate with carriers on annual renewals, and
design programs to attract and retain a diverse workforce..Administer health and welfare benefit programs for all faculty and staff.Oversee
the Emeriti and 403b retirement plan for faculty and staff.Ensure compliance with relevant laws.Maintain updated plan documents. Oversee
annual audits working with independent auditor. Ensure the plan is administered properly according to plan design and
requirements.Coordinate the work of the pension benefit committee and its oversight of the retirement plan.Advise faculty and staff on
retirement issues and questions.Oversee preparation of all 5500 Form filings with the Department of Labor, and other government reporting
such as 1095C Forms, PCORI fees, Fee Disclosures, and related filings and requirements.Collaborate with HR staff to oversee administration
of worker’s compensation and family/medical leave program.Act as the HR liaison to the personnel committee.Perform other related duties and
projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree.Ten years of human resources’ experience. Five years
of successful experience in managing benefits and compensation.Proficient in Excel and data analysis.Experience with human capital
management systems.Able to independently analyze and present data and information.A zeal for collaborating with and helping others;
customer-service focused; helpful and positive attitude.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Knowledge of local, state, and
federal employment regulations and laws.Ability to plan, organize and manage projects.Excellent presentation/ public speaking skills.Ability
to effectively and respectfully communicate with a wide diversity of key stakeholders.Zeal for collaborating and assisting a diverse
workforce.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in related area. HR experience in higher education.
