Infoscitex, a DCS Company, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support various engineering efforts. As a member of our team, you will support defense technologies along with research and development in Dayton, OH. You will have opportunities to work in a dynamic environment, with state of the art simulation technologies, unique data processing software suites, and experienced military Subject Matter Experts (SME). Our work focuses on conducting capability assessments for emerging military technologies and ensuring related tools and methodologies are suitable to inform Department of Defense (DoD) decision makers.
Essential Job Functions:
Integrate and validate new product designs.
Analysis and debugging skills of developmental software.
Assess third party and open source software.
Develop code, test and troubleshoot the systems.
Develop test plans, procedures, and organize resources to facilitate testing of advanced technologies.
Document test activities, including writing test reports, analyzing test data, and making recommendations to the engineering team.
Work both individually and with a broader engineering team.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
At least a BS degree in Aerospace, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science.
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information: ability to attain a Secret clearance.
Experience coding in object-oriented languages for research, development and production.
Candidates should have experience with Modern Software Development practices and tools such at: AGILE, Kanban, Git, Artifactory, Cucumber, Jira, Jenkins, etc.
Excellent written and verbal English communications skills.
Ability to work well in team environments.
Ability to travel, as required.
Desired Skills:
Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
Experience in modeling, simulation, and analysis software such as MATLAB.
Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets.
Knowledge of different IP protocols, interfaces and hardware subsystems.
Experience with complex digital device hardware including FPGAs and DSPs.
