Darling Ingredients Looking for Purchasing Clerk at Linkwood, MD  Full Time

Darling Ingredients is seeking a Purchasing Clerk to join our team at our plant in Linkwood, MD. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining inventory for the division to ensure parts and materials are available as needed for repairs, replacements, etc.

The schedule for this position is Monday – Friday. Two shifts are available: 7:00am – 3:00pm and 3:00pm – 11:00pm.

Job Summary:

Responsible for maintaining inventory for the division to ensure parts and materials are available as needed for repairs, replacements, etc.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintain inventory control.
• Prices and requisitions parts, tools, and equipment.
• Creates purchase requisitions.
• Maintain records of all purchases.
• Make entries into computer based inventory program (SAP).
• Ensures parts and materials are available as needed for repair and replacement.
• Manages plant MRO budget and cost controls.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associates degree preferred.
• Minimum one year purchasing experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Computer experience in MS Office programs, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Ability to maintain records pertaining to items purchased, cost, delivery, product performance and inventories.

Physical Demands:

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

• Typical plant environment, which is noisy, and can be hot and humid.
