Overview
The Specialized Programs of Research Excellence (SPORE) is seeking a Lead Research Administrator or a Senior Research Administrator
SPORE grants involve both basic and clinical/applied scientists, and support projects that will result in new and diverse approaches to the prevention, early detection, diagnosis, and treatment of human cancers.
The Department of Medical Oncology currently has multiple SPORES.
The Research Administrator will manage both the Pre and Post award of the mechanism and must have considerable grants management experience. Will attend all SPORE meetings and will work with Investigators in addressing all NCI reporting requirements and requests.
The Research Administrator will maintain and administer all cost centers associated with the conduct of studies described in this SPORE as well as communicate with the outside institutions participating in this SPORE to assure appropriate financial management and oversight of the subcontracts. The Research Administrator will be expected to provide reporting to Senior Leadership, including the Deputy Director of DF/HCC.
The SPORE Administrator will collaborate with the faculty’s Research Administrators to collect and maintain necessary SPORE documents. The Research Administrator will be responsible for collaborating with the Institute’s central offices such as Research Finance, Accounts Payable, Research Administration, Special Funds, Grants and Contracts, the Clinical Trials Office, Office of General Counsel, and the Innovations Office.
