Inside the Role
The Shakers Durability & Instrumentation (SDI) team in the Vehicle Durability and Reliability Testing (VDRT) department plays an important role in validating truck structures and components through accelerated testing, physical simulation, data acquisition and analysis. Our mission is to find structural issues early in development, so we can collaboratively resolve them prior to production. The Road Load Data Acquisition (RLDA) team instruments, collects, and analyzes structural data to support root cause investigations, vehicle simulations, and shaker testing. The Technician role is the backbone to the RLDA team. This role supports all structural RLDA activities at HDPG, and is responsible for the instrumentation lab at HDPG. The duties for this role include: test documentation, instrumenting test trucks (accelerometer, strain gages, load cells, wheel force transducers, string pots, etc…), installing data acquisition hardware, custom fabrication of test equipment, and wiring custom transducer cables. The majority of time this role will support RLDA at HDPG, however when there are not active RLDA s, this role will support ongoing durability testing at HDPG with a focus on inspecting and documenting test issues.

Position offers a starting salary range of$32.45 – $41.58 Hr. USD
