Summary
The Associate Director, Global Quality Assurance, QMS Training is an integral member of the Global LMS & QA Training Team, reporting to the Head of Global LMS & QA Training in Global R&D/PV QA. The Associate Director, Global Quality Assurance, QMS Training, will be responsible for instructional design, development, and delivery of customized learning content and highly interactive e-learning modules for Global R&D/PV/MA QA. The Associate Director, Global Quality Assurance, QMS Training will work closely with the Global LMS and QA Training team, QA functional and subject matter experts (SMEs), and other key stakeholders to design engaging learning experiences built on adult learning principles that adhere to standards for consistency and quality.
Responsibilities
– Digital Learning Strategy:
– Develop the digital learning strategy for Global RD/PV/MA QA, including GxP, technical and soft skills training to ensure the global development of global QA team members.
– Lead the assessment, design, and development of learning materials that adhere to standard formats, guidelines, and Agile/ADDIE learning methodology.
– Meet with Global RD/PV/MA QA SMEs and Content Owners to document learning design and delivery requirements.
– Collaborate with global QA SMEs to design and build storyboards and narration scripts for digital learning modules.
– Develop the training plans for digital learning solutions in partnership with the global QA SMEs and cross-functional teams to fill learning needs identified by GxP business stakeholders outlined in training plans.
– Learning Development and Delivery:
– Create and implement learning assets identified in training plans, role-based curricula, and other global QA departmental projects.
– Conduct training needs assessments to determine the optimal training delivery approach to the target audience.
– Facilitate identification of learning content with global QA leaders or SMEs
– Partner with global QA SMEs to ensure lessons learned are incorporated into learning activities
– Create learning programs in various modalities, including blended approaches (e.g., instructor-led training, eLearning, etc.)
– Engage with and manage external vendors as required to ensure learning content availability and delivery.
– Create and implement annual training plans for global QA objectives and employee development needs.
– Collaborate with global QA SMEs to identify learning objectives and create course content that aligns with organizational goals and objectives.
– Design and develop interactive e-learning courses using Articulate 360 and Vyond animation software tools incorporating multimedia elements, such as graphics, animations, and videos, to enhance the learning experience.
– Develop interactive assessments, simulations, and other learning activities to promote learner engagement and retention.
– Design engaging learning solutions that enable learners to meet specific objectives defined in the learning design documents, including microlearning, gamification, and potentially virtual and augmented reality solutions.
– Conceptualize and develop effective evaluation measures, including knowledge checks and course assessments.
– Facilitate collaborative, iterative content and editorial reviews to validate the accuracy and completeness of materials before and after content production.
– Strategically package learning solutions in various scalable formats (including AICC/SCORM) to ensure audiences receive the most effective learning experiences.
– Continually work to ensure all learning materials are consistent, up-to-date, and aligned with systems/process changes and larger learning goals and initiatives.
– Develop learning materials like participant and facilitator guides to support instructor-led training programs.
– Evaluate the effectiveness of digital learning courses and training programs, making necessary adjustments to improve learner outcomes.
– Stay current with industry-leading learning and development practices and incorporate them into QA training.
– Learning Management System:
– Manage activities related to our learning management system (LMS), including testing, setting up, and assigning digital learning modules to identified training audiences.
– Monitor and report on digital learning metrics, including completion rates, quiz scores, and learner feedback.
– Ensure that all digital learning content is up-to-date, relevant, and compliant with regulatory and compliance requirements.
– Conduct periodic content reviews and troubleshoot technical issues of the digital learning assets.
Qualifications: Successful candidates will be able to meet the qualifications below with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Education Qualifications (from an accredited college or university)
– Bachelor’s Degree required or
– Master’s Degree preferred
Experience Qualifications
– 5 or More Years Experience in educational content development for in-person training and/or digital learning required and
– 2 or More years Experience developing e-learning content using Articulate 360 and Vyond animation software tools. required and
– 1 or More Years Leading or managing learning and development activities in a regulated industry, preferably in Life Sciences preferred
Travel
Ability to travel up to 20%. Travel to DS locations in the US and globally.
