Cyprus Academy, in Burnsville, MN is an award-winning, innovative, private school for gifted Pre-K-8 students. Students learn with other students who are of a similar age and level – with no upper limit to their academic advancement.

This Position

Cyprus Academy is seeking a full-time early elementary specialist who understands that children learn at differing paces and is ready to meet the varying academic, social, and emotional needs of 4-6 year old children who are gifted.

In this position, you will teach Cyprus Classical Academy’s Super K class and become a member of a team of educators dedicated to serving early elementary students.

You will also become part of a strong and supportive community of parents, teachers, and administrative staff.

You should apply for this position if:

• You have a passion for teaching 4-6 year old students.
• You are flexible with teaching methods and are ready to adapt to the philosophy and teaching methods associated with the best practices for teaching gifted children.
• You are able to differentiate instruction.
• You have kindergarten classroom experience and experience teaching early elementary students.
• You are able to teach math, language arts, science, and other subjects through at least 3rd grade level.
• You are organized with excellent classroom management skills.
• You are able to use basic technology and learn new systems quickly.
