Job Description:
Audit Manager with Crowe, LLP (Livingston, NJ)
Review of time-line and budgets, and communications for the same with engagement partners and client contacts. Supervising, training, and mentoring senior staff and in-charges on audit process and assess their performance for engagement reviews. Overseeing and reviewing audits of investment companies work. Analysis of project budget realizations and related invoicing. Review of audits by applying audit and accounting technical literature and guidance and firm methodology. Leading and reviewing audits of Defined Contribution, Defined Benefit, and Health and Welfare Plans. Business development and sales. Create content for and present and deliver training programs for benefit plan audits. Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients.
This position requires up to 25% domestic travel. Position supervises 8 subordinates: Audit Staff (5x) and Senior Audit Staff (3x).
Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field. Position requires 5 (five) years of experience, which must include some experience in each of the following skills: Reviewing and applying audit and accounting technical literature and guidance; Experience with Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA) and Department of Labor (DOL) rules and regulations for employee benefit plans; Leading and reviewing audits of Defined Contribution, Defined Benefit, and Health and Welfare Plans; Supervision and formal and informal training of staff; Reviewing participant and plan level testing and benefit plan financial statements; Coordinating and overseeing several audits in various stages of execution, from planning to completion; Researching complex accounting issues; Experience with Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) 946, Financial Services – Investment Companies; and Leading and reviewing audits of investment companies.
Position requires a Certified Public Accounting license issued by the State of New Jersey.
