COPIC Hiring for Service Desk Specialist Job at Denver, CO Full Time

BASIC PURPOSE OF THIS JOB:

Role is responsible for providing a variety of hardware and software administration and support tasks, including analyzing, constructing, documenting, testing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting workstations, operating systems, software applications, peripherals, and communication devices including mobile devices. The Service Desk Analyst will also be the first point of contact for end users experiencing technical issues.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• 3-5 years of IT experience
• Understanding of IT principles and an ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to a varied audience
• Working knowledge of ticketing systems and ITIL framework including KB
• Service and support certification a plus (HDI)
• Working knowledge of hardware / software related issues including desktop workstations, laptops, virtual and RDP sessions, handheld smart devices, printers, A/V systems, etc.
• Experience with Microsoft technologies including Office 365, Exchange and Teams
• Basic Networking skills including TCP/IP addressing, VPN configuration, wireless technology
• Basic Active Directory account management, Security Groups, and Group Policy
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Self-learner in formal and informal based courses, self-motivated, product ownership, finisher, empathetic to others as related to technology, partner in success of others, team player
• Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• This is an in-person position at the corporate office
• Occasional travel for training and conferences
• Able to use a computer for long periods with a high volume of typing, use of a mouse and computer monitor.
• Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time
• Support duties require mobility to multiple floors and above/below office furniture
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30-50 lbs.
• Storage room, supply room, phone rooms and lab room work
• Typical business office environment with direct supervision
• Longer hours may be required, outside of the Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm MST
• Occasional night and weekend time may be required both onsite and remote
