Job Summary:
Develop, negotiate, and execute vendor contracts through collaboration with customer groups to meet company needs. Identify, build, and maximize relationships with key vendors. Responsible for establishing a collaborative process between project team, supply chain and legal to execute contract and procurement plans. Resolve contract related internal and external disputes. Provide strategic planning and analytics, identify cost avoidance and savings opportunities, and mitigate all contract risk. You will apply professional purchasing concepts, standards, and organizational objectives to complete complex procurement/contracting assignments.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
· Manage quote and competitive bidding process according to procurement policy
· Process purchase orders according to procurement policy
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
· 5+ years purchasing and contracts experience in construction or engineering environments (Oil & Gas industry preferred)
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Supply Chain function (Preferred)
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics is a plus)
· Ability to communicate with engineers, project managers, construction managers, inspectors, and field operations to understand specification and delivery requirements
· Ability to interpret complex SOW, RFP / ITB, and other contractual instruments to prepare reports, communications and bid summaries
