We’re seeking a knowledgeable commercial construction administrator to represent our team in the field and navigate key client and contractor relationships.

Responsibility Highlights

You will be an indispensable part of the project team, representing ADCI and maintaining client relations throughout the entire construction process, managing key contractor relationships, mitigating project issues and managing risks to the company. This position directs activities on typically small to mid-size projects as related to project construction contract administration, including shop drawings process, field observations, reports, change orders and pay requests. A strong talent for problem-solving, negotiating and navigating relationships with both clients and contractors will set you apart.

• Responsible for quality management and monitors overall project performance and delivery on assigned projects.
• Accumulates, evaluates and presents feedback information related to errors and omissions in construction documents and the performance of equipment/materials and system.
• Interprets specifications as related to materials and workmanship.
• Conducts on‐site observations and prepares reports, conducts meetings, expeditiously makes document interpretations and resolves or refers construction administration problems. Observes work in progress to ensure conformance with drawings and specifications. Examines workmanship of finished installations for conformity to standards.
• Coordinates with architectural associates to ensure project completion in compliance with contract documents and State Code requirements.
• Assists Project Manager with client relations as related to construction contract administration on assigned projects.
• Conducts preconstruction conferences.
• Reviews shop drawings, manuals, guarantees, bonds and other project and post-construction submittals for approval and dispositions.
• Assembles and verifies construction contract change order information for approval by Project Manager and Owner.
• Reviews contractor payment requests for preparation of Certificate of Payment.
• Responsible for and maintains favorable working relations with client and contractor representatives.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2-5 years of commercial building construction administration experience with progressively greater responsibility.
• Education in lieu of experience will be considered.
• Associate Degree in architecture a plus.

Pay: $23.00 – $28.00 per hour
