We are hiring a Bar Manager!
Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES: Completely direct the operational efforts and strategies of all restaurant responsibilities.
Supervises restaurant, lounge associates and to provide supervisory guidance, aid and counsel for all bar and restaurant associates.
Trains all associates in the bar and restaurant how to perform their job duties to the best of their abilities, including proper steps of service, BSA implementation, display work, beverage prep, proper dress code, cleaning and sanitation and all other areas that associates need to learn and grow in their position.
Assist in the following: Writing schedules, evaluating associates, and direction of all personnel. –
Keeps open verbal and written communication between the management and associates.
Writes and presents disciplinary action as needed.
Provides associates with the tools and equipment they need to do their jobs.
Takes immediate action on problems that are encountered in the bar or restaurant.
Participates in weekly staff meetings, weekly Banquet Event Order meetings with sales, weekly food and beverage meetings, and completes monthly beverage inventory.
Ensures all food served is of high quality, properly prepared, and is expedited to all outlets in a smooth and efficient manner.
Assists in the establishment of goals, standards, and objectives, which will further the prestige and reputation of the organization as well as result in a more profitable operation.
Knowledgeable in, and practices federal and state food/liquor regulations.
Manages and purchases within approved budget. Understands and operates within established guidelines regarding costs, expenses, sales, and profit for food and beverage departments. Develops, institutes, and maintains control and procedure to ensure consistency.
Maintains all use records, daily rotation menus, daily checklists, recipe cards, etc., always within the beverage department.
Prepares recipe cards and picture presentation of all drink menu items.
Consistently is aware of all areas, including front line, dining room, food service. Never neglects one area for another.
Ensures that sufficient supplies of necessary service equipment are available and always maintained through proper understanding of inventory and accurate beverage ordering.
Ensures that adequate preparation is done for all meal periods, avoiding waste through preparation.
Ensures that approved drink recipes are always followed without deviation.
Ensures that standards pertaining to storage, rotation, production, portions, quality, and appearance are followed at all times.
Proficient in Canva, Eventbrite, Open Table, Word and Excel.
Ensures lounge bartenders complete checklists each night and communicate any updates and changes to them directly.
Ensures sanitation standards are maintained in all areas, i.e. freezers, reach ins and equipment. – this person oversees the large walk-in cooler in the kitchen.
Ensures that prescribed cleaning schedules are followed and always maintained.
Assists in the responsibility for the review and accomplishment of cost goals around beverage cost, and restaurant labor. This includes following all budget procedures.
Understands budget applications and conforms to the budget requirements.
React to problem areas where budget discrepancies exist.
Promotes a positive employee relations climate by following and adhering to Human Resource policies and procedures; timely reviews, recruitment as needed, disciplinary action and terminations.
Reduces labor costs when is effective by reducing scheduled hours and overtime without affecting customer satisfaction.
Makes decisions on all problems which may arise in the restaurant /bar area in a calm manner by keeping staff focused on the job at hand.
Evaluates staff performance on a ninety day, and annual basis.
Ensures payroll hours are approved for the respective pay period in a timely manner.
Conducts his/herself to reflect the high standards of professionalism within the Concord Hospitality organization.
Provides a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules.
Each associate will be required to follow the rules as found in the Concord Hospitality Associate Handbook.
Creates social media content daily, weekly and monthly (ex. Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, etc.)
