To support the University vision, the Division of Enrollment Management, Communication, and Student Affairs will
work creatively and diligently to attain optimal enrollments, enhance student development and success, and support the academic units
and overall mission of the institution with the purpose of ensuring seamless systems and positive experiences for our
students. The Office of Admissions at Colorado State University Pueblo will support the University vision and enrollment goals by
providing intentional, professional, and attentive service to facilitate recruitment and admission, with the purpose of attaining students
from diverse backgrounds who are well-suited to the University.
Description of Job
The University Tracks Center
Coordinator is an integral member of the admissions team and will be at the forefront of the larger University effort to create a
university-going culture in Southern Colorado. The coordinator will work primarily with students, parents, and school personnel in
Colorado Springs, and other surrounding areas both remotely and in person. An office space will be provided in
at least one of the schools.
This position will be a representative for CSU Pueblo, but will serve as a resource for
general four-year college planning inquiries and assistance within the assigned district. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
provide counseling on the CSU Pueblo admissions and enrollment process; provide information regarding four-year college planning (general);
provide financial aid and scholarship expertise (general); serve as a resource for college application and essay assistance (general); serve
as a liaison between district staff and CSU Pueblo offices, including concurrent enrollment and TRIO programs; develop and facilitate
district-wide and school-specific programs for students and families; provide back-up coverage for recruitment activities targeted toward
district students; maintain positive relationships with secondary school personnel; and assist in the development of recruitment plans and
publications.
This position is funded by Vision 2028 through fiscal year 2024. Renewal of position funding is contingent upon
continued funding of the project, budgetary approvals, and university fiscal sustainability.
Primary Duties
Provides information and assistance for general four-year college planning, including counseling on admissions processes,
financial education and, discussing the benefits of a four-year education, and answering specific questions related to going to
college. Assists with the completion of college applications and essays and helps students with other tasks related to the college
search process as needed. Coordinates with teachers to supplement class lessons with information about college preparation as
needed. Collects and maintains student data, interactions and activities in a database system (currently Technolutions Slate
CRM) and reports on program goals and objectives.
Works with district staff and University departments to become
knowledgeable of pertinent financial aid and scholarship details, both general and specific to CSU Pueblo. Provides financial aid
and scholarship expertise to students, their families, and district staff.
Serves as a liaison between
district and school staff and CSU Pueblo departments, including the Offices of Admissions, Student Financial Services, and Extended Studies.
Assists students with applications for programs such as Concurrent Enrollment, Senior to Sophomore, and TRIO programs. Assists with the
coordination of visits from CSU Pueblo stakeholders (faculty, staff, students, alumni, etc.) to high school classrooms and of group visits
to the CSU Pueblo campus.
Provides information about CSU Pueblo admission requirements, academic programs, special 
;services, scholarships and financial aid, housing, etc.
Encourages prospective students to visit
campus and apply for admission. Provides a personal connection to the University for prospective students by reaching out to
students on an individual level (as appropriate) and providing appropriate follow-up to inquiries. Develops and
facilitates district-wide and school-specific events and programs for students and families, including, but not limited to financial aid
and scholarship nights, application days, and departmental programming.
Works to create and maintain a positive working
relationship with high school counselors within assigned district. Attends staff meetings at both CSU Pueblo and the district schools, as
required. Conducts update sessions with high school counselors; provides school personnel with timely information regarding students from
their respective schools who are considering CSU Pueblo (admitted student lists, incomplete application lists, scholarship lists, etc.).
Assists with the first-year student recruitment planning process, including communication plan and publication development, as well
as on-campus activities for first-year students and their parents.
Contributes to additional functions in the Admissions Office
and the Visitor Center and assists in other aspects for recruitment as required.
Ancillary Duties Serves on
various community and University committees.
