Clover Park Technical College (CPTC) is seeking a Non Destructive Testing (NDT) Instructor is responsible for planning, organizing and operating a workforce education program designed to prepare students for careers in non destructive testing and inspection. We are looking for an individual who is excited about teaching and growing talent and skills for all students by building a dynamic and supportive learning environment.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about the following: Working with the program’s diverse student body, working in collaboration with their colleagues in other manufacturing related programs; researching and instructing modern industry management concepts; creating simulated or industry focused labs and practicums to support a theory-to-practice experiences; offering instruction modalities that are tailored to the student needs; working to cultivate an inclusive culture and campus climate by valuing diversity, sustaining an environment of belonging, and promoting equitable opportunities for all.

This position’s duties are performed in person on our Lakewood campus. This position is represented by the Clover Park Federation of Teachers, Local 3913, AFT/ AFT Washington. Duties and Tasks (Essential Functions)
Duty: Provide quality instruction and assessment of student learning outcomes.
Tasks include:
·Provide individual and group student-centered instruction.
·Prepare and modify instructional materials and methods based on student needs and feedback.
·Develop creative, flexible and innovative ways to effectively serve the needs of a diverse student population.
Evaluate and document student comprehension through testing, observation and assessment of skills attained.
·Follow approved curriculum. Assess and modify current curriculum as needed, following the college policy and procedure for curricular review and modification.
·Provide support and guidance to students responding to their needs and providing career guidance.
Duty: Administrative functions and college support.
Tasks include:
·Attend student recruitment and information session activities.
·Document and keep accurate student records.
·Follow college policies and procedures to obtain and maintain required equipment, systems, tools, supplies and materials.
·Record and submit student grades in a timely manner.
·Serve on department and college committees and participate in college enrollment activities.
·Conduct program-specific student advising and equipment acquisition and maintenance trainings.

Clover Park Technical College is located in Lakewood, Washington. Our college has a rich history of professional and technical education dating back to the 1940s, when Clover Park School District established a War Production program, training civilians as auto mechanics, aircraft-service mechanics, ship-fitters, welders, and blueprint readers. Now, CPTC offers more than forty programs in Aerospace, Advanced Manufacturing, Health Sciences, Human Services, Business, Hospitality, Science Technology, Engineering, Transportation, and Trades.
