Assist the Project Leader (50%) and BICEFS Director (50%). Primary duties include: (1) Perform field and laboratory work, data analysis, and manuscript preparation; (2) Contribute to BICEFS outreach, presentations, and tours; and (3) Complete additional duties as assigned in consultation with Project Leader and BICEFS Director.
JOB DUTIES:
30% – Essential – Data collection and processing: Perform field, lab, and computer work necessary for scientific data collection.
20% – Essential – Data analysis: Analyze data to generate research results including statistical tests and mathematical modeling.
20% – Essential – Dissemination: Develop manuscripts, presentations, posters, reports, and impact statements for dissemination of research results to the scientific community and public.
20% – Essential – Outreach: Assist with various outreach activities including meetings, advancement events, tours, and public engagement.
10% – Essential – Other duties as assigned related to the mission of BICEFS.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, wildlife management or related technical area and experience in fish, wildlife or marine resource management or research programs. A master’s degree in biology, chemistry or wildlife management may be substituted for the required work experience.
