Clemson University’s Advancement Division is looking for a Gifts & Estate Planning Coordinator to fulfill the following duties:
JOB DUTIES:
30% – Essential – Office of Trusts, Gift & Estate Planning Support:
Provide support and coordination to Senior AVP in planned giving life-cycle including trusts, charitable gift annuities, Wills, and other areas; Communicate with planned giving and principal gift prospects and their legal representatives, financial advisors, and colleagues regarding estate giving while maintaining a high level of confidentiality; Maintain Deferred Gift Inventory &records and manages estate files; Prepare communication for donors and representatives; Collaborate with Development Officers to process planned gifts, manage all Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) and fund agreements. Maintain a working knowledge of estate planning and planned giving.
25% – Essential – Clemson Legacy Society Coordinator:
Serve as main point of contact for annual Clemson Legacy Society events; Collaborate with Events and Marketing & Communications teams to coordinate event, attend planning meetings and event; Coordinate communications and promotion efforts, maintain membership database and files, prepare reports, recognition to donor records, and manage the registry appointments and signings.
20% – Essential – AVP Support:
Coordinate team meetings, agenda, materials needed, and serve as backup to Administrative Coordinator in recording minutes; Maintain accurate recording of plans, opportunities, and interactions in CRM Database; Knowledge of University and Foundation policies, procedures, rules, and regulations. Collaborate with colleagues to establish and/or solve procedural issues and suggests solutions to CDT.
15% – Essential – Donor Stewardship and Customer Service:
Prepare gift/pledge financial summaries and endowment balances for donors; Coordinate donor visits and events; Assist with high-volume preparation of confidential and personalized correspondence on behalf of the Senior AVP.
10% – Essential – Marketing Initiatives/Special Projects:
Coordinate marketing materials and maintain supply for development officers¿ use; Assist with writing donor profiles and constituent mailings; Coordinate prospect interview scheduling; Write and submit student/intern job descriptions for posting, manage student workers, student hiring/work requirements, time approval; Support special projects as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education – Bachelor’s Degree
Work Experience – 2+ Years
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Work Experience – 6+ Years
