To assist in soil chemistry lab to run various lab assays. Conduct data analysis using statistical software, prepare graphs, write reports, grant proposals and publications. Other duties as assigned
JOB DUTIES:
40% – Essential – Collect, process, and analyze soil, seed, and plant biomass samples for various nutrient analyses. Additional soil health analyses will be carried on soil samples.
20% – Essential – Conduct data analysis using statistical software, prepare graphs and write project reports. Present results to stakeholders.
20% – Essential – Review of literature for research and extension projects.
Write publications and grant proposals and present project results at conferences.
Writing, editing, and proofreading protocols.
10% – Essential – Responsible to train, lead, and assist summer helpers, graduate students, and research staff in their research projects. Assist in recruiting workers and providing training for various tasks.
10% – Essential – Other duties as deemed necessary to support Nutrient Management Program and Edisto REC
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education – Master’s Degree – Agriculture or a closely related field
Licenses – Drivers License Class D normal
Highly motivated individual with good oral and written communication skills and strong interest in lab and data analysis. Work independently and in a team setting. Attention to detail and pro-active.

Education – Doctoral / Professional Degree – Agriculture or a closely related field
