Work Cooperatively with county and state staff to plan, teach, and evaluate Extension educational programs in the area of agricultural safety and AgrAbility. Aid with the current delivery of the Agricultural Safety program, identify and conduct rescue response demonstrations, and provide AgrAbility support throughout the state of South Carolina. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor, Extension and college administration.
JOB DUTIES:
25% – Essential – Develop safety programing and in aid in safety content and curricula improvements to implement day youth programs and teacher in-service professional development program at various locations throughout the state of South Carolina.
25% – Essential – Provide AgrAbility support throughout the state through site visits with farmers and ranchers who have requested assistance. Provide guidance and reporting to aid individuals in continuing daily work tasks due to health conditions or disabilities. Work cooperatively with extension staff to provide AgrAbility program demonstrations, guest lectures, presentations, and support.
20% – Essential – Identify and conduct rescue response demonstrations with interest groups and rescue teams to schedule, plan, maintain, operate, travel, and update Grain Entrapment Simulator at various locations throughout the state of South Carolina.
20% – Essential – Train and support county extension agents. Work cooperatively with extension staff, Agricultural Education State Staff, 4H, and secondary education teachers to provide agricultural safety demonstrations, guest lectures, and presentations for related events which promote safety in agricultural.
10% – Essential – Build and maintain strong alliances with state/regional organizations and stakeholders. Maintain and update online training material and social media for both Agricultural Safety and AgrAbility.

Education – Master’s Degree – Expertise or closely related field
