Position Summary:
The Manager shall maintain the integrity of the payables process using University policies and operating procedures and shall comply with all federal and state laws, rules and regulations.
The Manager is responsible for all phases of payables activities, which include day-to-day oversight of invoice processing, vendor setup, initiation of bi-weekly and emergency check runs and submission of positive pay files, processing of supplier pay files, stop payment processing, and review of payables aging.
The Manager will be responsible for maximizing cash efficiency by taking advantage of offered payment discounts while also stretching payables terms. Other duties include reconciliation of payroll accounts, student card accounts and other accounts as assigned. Annual duties include multi-state unclaimed funds processing and 1099 processing.
The Manager will work closely with other teams within the Controller’s Office and throughout the University to lead timely and efficient processing of vendor transactions.
General Purpose: The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for the daily oversight and operations of the University accounts payable functions, including the supervision of two to three staff.

Minimal Qualifications: Associate’s degree from accredited College or University in accounting, finance or business administration or a related field of study, 7 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from accredited College or University in accounting, finance or business administration or a related field of study, 3 years of experience related directly to the duties and responsibilities specified.
