Peoria’s Water Services Department has an excellent opportunity for an Environmental Resources Manager. This position directs, plans, and organizes the Environmental Resources Division compliance and enforcement programs to maintain City compliance with federal and state environmental laws (e.g. Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, Safe Drinking Water Act, Aquifer Protection Permit) and associated federal, state, and local regulations and requirements. It also acts as a liaison between the City and federal, state, and local environmental and public health agencies. This position works collaboratively to help develop and clarify environmental laws, standards, policies, and requirements; coordinates procedures and programs with other internal and external groups on various projects to ensure compliance requirements are met; establishes division organization and budget; and monitors performance and metrics.
