Harold
Washington College is currently seeking a part-time Faculty to teach one or more courses during an upcoming term. The ideal candidate will
have a passion for teaching and learning, commitment to the college mission, and a record of demonstrated success in the classroom in
supporting and cultivating student learning. The Department of English, Speech, Theatre, and Journalism offers general education courses in
the areas of written and oral communication skills, literature, journalism, and theatre.
We are seeking instructors for:

QUALIFICATIONS
In instances where an instructor’s academic preparation varies from the traditional credentials criteria but the
instructor possesses relevant qualifications or experience to the teaching assignment based on industry or specialized accreditation
standards and contributes to effective teaching and student learning outcomes, a request for an exception may be approved by the Vice
President via the Tested Experience form. The Tested Experience form can be found on the Faculty Forms page of the CCC website.
Qualifications to be considered may include, but are not limited to: on the job training in the industry or field, certification and
licensure by a recognized certifying or licensing state, industry, or national agency, professional experience in the industry,
peer-reviewed presentations/publications, or related dissertation topic.
