Job Description
Project: Employment Lifecycle Candidate/Employee Experience Projects
Under the direction of the Employment Lifecycle Manager, the 1204 Senior Personnel Clerk will be supporting the current 1241 Lead Employment Lifecycle Specialist with day-to-day implementation of SFPUC’s ongoing semi-automated on-boarding/off-boarding improvement process for new hires, current, and departing employees.
The successful candidate must be available to work a regular work schedule of Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, to support San Francisco Public Utility Commission’s core business hours and unit needs.
Special considerations during the COVID-19 pandemic: The SFPUC is committed to keeping all employees safe in the workplace and has taken many measures to ensure the safety of all employees. While policies and timelines are still being finalized, this role will mostly likely be able to telecommute for up to three days per week and report on site at least two days per week. The successful candidate will be required to meet all conditions of the SFPUC’s telecommuting policy for remote work and may be asked to temporarily utilize some personal computing equipment while working remotely.
The Sr. Personnel Clerk is responsible for following established procedures for managing the life cycle and personnel records of employment candidates and current employees. A sample of the core functions and duties include, but are not limited, to the following:

Qualifications
Two (2) years of verifiable experience maintaining personnel records and generating reports equivalent to the duties of City and County of San Francisco class 1202 Personnel Clerk.

Desirable Qualifications:
Experience performing Human Resources related tasks using Human Resources Management Systems (HRMS) including, but not limited to PeopleSoft, SmartRecruiters, and other related systems.
The stated desirable qualifications may be considered at the end of the selection process when candidates are referred for hiring.
