Overview
Assists the Manager of the Research Business Partners with facilitating the management of the financial and administrative tasks involving sponsored projects. This includes from the initial proposal development process through the project close-out for assigned faculty in the Department/Division. This position will typically support 6+ divisions with approximately 30 or more active researchers. The projects in the Research Business Partner portfolios involve complex budgetary issues, subawards, multiple site clinical trials, temporary restricted funds, state contracts as well as various other funding types, as well as an increased number of proposals submissions and award management. These awards have budget and contractual management that require knowledge and understanding of contracts and funding mechanisms. Additionally, this individual will be working alongside others in Research Administration to ensure compliance with Hospital policies and sponsor regulations. The Sr Research Business Partner will train and mentor new and existing staff members and share their expertise. The Sr Research Business Partner will be responsible for coordination of the annual research budgets. They will also be involved as needed in during annual audits. Additionally, they will participate on committees, and review and assist in the creation of SOP’s and Policies as appropriate.

Starting Pay
Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $30.73/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

This position is entirely remote or work-from-home. The person hired must live in the Kansas City metro area and may attend on-site meetings, as scheduled.
