SUMMARY

The Chief Financial Officer will be a key member of the leadership team focusing on the fiscal health of the company and the development of the accounting staff. Casella Construction has provided employees with growth opportunities for 30 years and this position will continue that legacy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The CFO is responsible for managing the financial actions of the company. Duties include:

• Handle all incoming and outgoing banking transactions on behalf of the company.
• Submit periodic reports detailing the company’s present financial situation and forecasting the coming quarter.
• Implement company policies regarding documentation and accounting of receipts and other financial information.
• Prepare monthly and yearly budgets while continually monitoring expenditures.
• Track cash flow.
• Analyze financial strengths and weaknesses and propose corrective action plans when necessary.
• Prepare accurate forecasts so that management can make informed decisions.
• Manage the accounting staff who are responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, payroll, and budget preparation.
• Recruit and hire the accounting and financial staff and conduct performance evaluations.
• Coordinate training programs for new staff and identify training needs for current staff.
• Manage and work to minimize financial risk for the company.
• Supervise cash management and support proper expenditure to promote the growth of the business.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor of Accounting (Master of Accounting or MBA Preferred).
• Certified Management Accountant (CMA) license.
• 5 years of experience as a CFO preferred.
