POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Housing and Residence Life, the Associate Director serves on a team with over
15 student staff members, Residence Director, Residence Coordinator, and the Office of Residence Life under the Division of Student Life.
The successful candidate will take a student-centered, inclusive, and innovative approach to their work with a diverse population. This
position is responsible for overall transition and orientation processes for undergraduate students, and support of the sophomore year
experience to ensure student transition, retention, and success. The Associate Director will also support the overall growth and development
of a residential community that embodies the mission and values of the College. The Associate Director will assist in the oversight of all
aspects of housing operations and facility management for over 450 residents across three residence halls.
This is a 12-month position that requires participation in Housing and Residence
Life’s professional staff after-hours on-call rotation. The ability to work some evening and weekend hours is required. This is a
live-on campus position; housing and a full meal plan are included in the compensation package.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s Degree and a
minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in a college or College setting is required. Master’s degree in higher education
administration, college student personnel, counseling, or related field of study is preferred. Additional qualifications
include excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills, strong reasoning ability, enthusiasm for teamwork, proficiency in
Microsoft Office and database management (housing, conduct, and/or Jenzabar), and appreciation of a small, Catholic College
environment.
