Chenega Enterprise Systems & Solutions, LLC, a Chenega Professional Services ‘ company, is looking for a a Policy Analyst IV to provide policy expertise, identify gaps, and develop policies. Candidate will lead consultations and coordinate multiples activities, develop strategic policy development skills and experience, and have political acuity to understand critical issues and concerns faced by a variety of partners/stakeholders. This resource will work within the ARX Policy team within CDC Division Healthcare Quality Promotion (DHQP.)

Responsibilities
Develop documents such as one-page fact sheets, proposals, and other related materials for distribution to congressional members, congressional staff, other federal agencies, public health organizations and ARX partners
Interpret and translate scientific data into easily understood materials or responses to public, partner, or congressional inquiries
Coordinate and lead partnership meetings by developing meeting agendas, sending meeting invitations to participants with meeting details, coordinating logistics, and leading follow up requirements from meetings
Identify opportunities for new partnership connections and steward existing partnership relationships through engagement tactics such as partner meetings and calls, ARX partnership email updates, and external collaborations (blog posts, podcasts, speaking engagements) to highlight CDC’s AR subject matter expertise
Conduct short- and long-term planning, program development, policy and program analysis, and program evaluations for the ARX policy and partnership portfolio including outlining quarterly goals for engagement and executing tasks to effectively and efficiently meet these goals
Prepare written reports such as issue and background papers, program policies, proposals and other substantive program documentation to support AR policy activities
Maintain and update technical content from CDC’s AR program impact including tracking legislation, health department policies related to AR and other related elements
Perform analysis to develop data and process models to facilitate evaluation of AR program impact and coordinate input
Conduct analysis, monitor data quality, and disseminate data related to the AR policy in reports and presentations to ARX and leadership to accomplish public health program goals
Maintain and track up to date information for ARX Policy and Partnership databases including a congressional tracker, partnership database, innovation portfolio funding information and database, the AR Investment map database, and AR activity reporting databases as required for policy reporting processes through CDC and HHS
Coordinate and lead planning for ARX partnership activities such as the AMR Exchange or other onsite or offsite partner meetings as needed
Manage and coordinate the ARX issues management and review/ clear processes to ensure documents are properly reviewed and input is provided in a timely and efficient manner
Respond to congressional inquiries, letters and requests for hearings, briefings, and information from congressional members, federal agencies, and the public
Develop documents such as one-page fact sheets, proposals, and other related materials for distribution to congressional members, staff and public health organizations and ARX partners
Interpret and translate scientific data into easily understood materials or responses to public, partner, or congressional inquiries
Engage in performance measurement/metrics as needed for reporting to congressional audience or as needed for reporting to various CDC and HHS initiatives
Respond to requests from CDC OD, other federal agencies, and other federal entities such as the Government Accountability Office (GAO)
Works with communications staff to coordinate web and Internet-based content for AR and relevant partner resources
Coordinate with other CDC divisions working on antibiotic resistance and serve as AR policy resource for divisions, CDC OD and external partners such as the CDC Foundation
Proactively identify, research, and resolve problems or issues; participate in team strategy session to discuss solutions. Proactively recommend updated strategies to improve efficiency or enhance techniques
Provide logistical support at approved program meetings in relations to communications and antimicrobial resistance activities.
Attend CDC approved non-commercial trainings required to learn new government systems to complete required tasks
Qualifications
Master’s degree in public policy, public administration, or political science
Or a minimum of 6 years’ experience in public policy, policy analysis, or public administration
Final salary determination based on skill-set, qualifications, and approved funding.
