Qualifications
Job Description
Cheder Lubavitch Arizona is seeking a General (secular) studies Math teacher to be part of it’s dynamic teaching team. Creative teachers who are passionate about providing personalized, appropriately challenging educational opportunities for young children, are enthusiastic facilitators of learning, who have experience with project-based curriculum development, and who enjoy working in a collaborative teaching environment are encouraged to apply. Applicants must have excellent communication skills with children, parents, and other staff members; an interest in working as part of a teaching team; a high level of energy and creativity; and the desire to build a positive, supportive environment for children.
Job Goals
Cheder Lubavitch Arizona believes in the innocence and sincerity of children and that there is the immeasurable potential for goodness, for leadership, and for appreciation of the sanctity of life. To guide each child with clear moral direction is every teacher’s focus, stressing the values that suffuse all that is cherished in our tradition. Students are shown that secular and religious education can be compatible and learn that a Jew may lead a traditional Jewish life without compromise, even in a secular environment.
Since its founding with five students in 2013, the school’s separate programs for boys and girls have provided an integrated religious and secular education under the guidance of highly qualified teachers in both arenas. We believe each child is born with a unique set of gifts and talents, which, if properly nourished, will lead to a deeply rewarding, productive life.
With this in mind, Cheder Lubavitch Arizona will create a nurturing, child-centered, value-oriented environment dedicated to academic excellence.
A uniquely integrated curriculum of General and Jewish studies, combined with hands-on experiences, will guide each student toward the fulfillment of his or her individual potential.
Applicants for this position are preferred with a completed Bachleor’s degree in education. A desire to work with highly capable children is required, and training and/or experience in education is preferred.
Cheder Lubavitch Arizona is committed to diversity and does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender identity, religion, age, national origin, sexual orientation, or physical disabilities.
