Chapman University is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position. This range takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Salary offers are determined based on the final candidate’s qualifications and experience, as well as internal equity and other internal factors. The anticipated pay range is not a promise of a particular wage. |
Job Description Summary |
Provide exceptional customer service to students and faculty utilizing the Dodge College Equipment Room (Goldroom), the school’s internal checkout center that is responsible for checking out and maintaining an inventory of film production, documentary, VR/AR and other equipment. Coordinate all checkouts and returns in accordance with Goldroom policy. Monitor and execute changes to equipment reservations and class needs. Work as a member of the Production Support team to coordinate usage of facilities and resources. Act as liaison between the Goldroom and the Production Management office to ensure equipment availability and coordinate equipment needs for all levels of Dodge College productions. Work closely with the Production Support Coordinator to ensure that critical equipment is available when needed and recommend purchases of new items to adequately fulfill production needs. Advise faculty and teaching assistants regarding in-class use of equipment. Hire and train a team of student employees. This position will also provide support to the Production Support Manager as needed and other duties as assigned. The Equipment Room Coordinator is a non-exempt, full-time staff position which assists management within the Dodge College of Film and Media Arts. |
