Job Title: IT Project Manager
Location: Waltham, MA (Hybrid)
Duration: 12+ Months (Extendable Contract)

IT Project Manager / Business Analyst to manage commercial data-related projects. This role will lead and manage IT projects and work closely with internal stakeholders and external third-party service providers to successfully implement new applications, enhancements, and services. The role will be based in Waltham MA with the option for remote work some days of the week, as agreed upon with the manager and project teams.

ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

• Successfully manage a variety of IT projects using project management best practices for flawless execution of projects delivered on-time, in full and within budget
• Responsible for managing projects from initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure.
• Build and foster effective relationships between the Business, IT and any 3rd party vendors
• Develop and maintains project documentation
• Organize and motivate the project team while maintaining project schedule and overall progress and performance
• Manages project governance & cadence through the project lifecycle to enable the project team to deliver on requirements
• Manages and use appropriate verification techniques and escalates changes, risks and issues (CRI) throughout project lifecycle
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
• Provide necessary updates to the project sponsor, project champion, project steering committee and other identified key stakeholders
• Report and escalate to management as needed
• Develop detailed project plans to track progress
• Ensure resource availability and allocation
• Lead and facilitate project teams through complex brainstorming, requirements gathering, workshop sessions

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Project Management, Business or a related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of professional work experience with a strong background in IT project management.
• Experience within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry strongly preferred.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) and / or Agile Scrum Master certification a plus.

Technical Knowledge/Skills Needed:
Experience working with project management tools: Planview, ProjectPlace, Microsoft office, MS Teams, SharePoint, Smartsheet
Solid technical background, with expert knowledge of database systems and technology
Extensive experience conducting requirements gathering and business analysis in software development life cycle (SDLC)
Ability to lead and facilitate project teams through complex requirement and brainstorming sessions
Demonstrated ability to manage several projects of various sizes and complexity at the same time.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $70.00 – $75.00 per hour
