Cenveo is a leading North American manufacturer of envelopes with over 100 years of experience and approximately 30 billion envelopes manufactured annually. We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Clerkfor our manufacturing facility in Kent, WA.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum 2-4 years of relevant work experience. An emphasis on Purchasing and Inventory Control preferably in the print industry.

Job Summary

Under close supervision edits purchase requests and prepares purchase orders. Maintains files and records of material prices and inventories.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)

These are the functions an incumbent or applicant must be able to perform with or without a reasonable accommodation. This role is principally accountable for the following:

• Prepares purchase orders and requisitions and assists in purchasing materials in a manner that avoids production delays.
• Maintains files and records of material, prices and inventories.
• Compiles information on receipt or disbursement of raw materials.
• Produces material usage reports and maintains inventory balances.
• Provides routines administrative support.
• Schedules as needed to meet production demands.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Other (Non-Essential) Functions

Includes functions which are normally performed by persons holding this title. However, these functions may be reassigned to other employees as part of a “Reasonable Accommodation” under the ADA.

• Other duties and assignments as required.

Job Requirements

• The minimum education required of this position is a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Has proficient understanding of principles in one or more functions. Typically possesses 2-4 years of relevant work experience.
• Generally performs single function tasks that tend to be moderate size and scope.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. Ability to read, interpret and create simple correspondence and memos. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and in small group situations.
• Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common factions and decimals.
• Proficient computer skills including Office Software packages.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions

• Environment is typically general office, thought the incumbent may spend short periods in the manufacturing environment with exposure including but not limited to dust, dirt, high noise levels and variations in temperature.
• The position requires the incumbent to regular utilizen written and verbal communication skills, including active listening.
• This position requires the incumbent to experience periods of prolonged sitting and to regularly stand, walk, carry, climb, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs.
