OVERVIEW

Caribou Thunder is seeking a Human Resource Generalist to provide support and recruitment objectives for a dynamic, complex program that employs approximately 75 part-time, intermittent personnel. The office is a fast-paced environment so the ideal candidate must be a quick learner, take ownership of their role and responsibilities, and be a team player.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Human Capital Management; or a related degree in business administration, business management, Organizational Development Psychology, or Sociology plus 3 years of experience in the application of Human Resources.
• 
  NOTE: 3 years of experience may be substituted for bachelor’s degree

RESPONSIBILITIES

• This is not a traditional HRG position as it supports career lifecycle management.
• Domestic TDY travel is required and takes place roughly 6 to 8 times a year with stays that typically last between 3-4 days and a week. Travel to customer sites and other locations across the Washington Metropolitan Area are required, frequent (approx. 35-40 a year), and require a POV. Most often this travel is scheduled, but potentially could take place on short notice occasionally.
• Involved in all facets of human resources activities (payroll, benefits, contract agreements, applicable policies/procedures, taxes, etc.), recruiting and onboarding, as well as rendering recommendations to Customer management for applicant advancement.
• Adhere to unique protocols for HR/recruitment activities, demonstrate keen attention-to-detail and effectively communicate with all stakeholders.
• Work in conjunction with Branch and Program management and is expected to complete a diverse set of administrative functions related to HR, recruitment, and onboarding.
• Provide briefings to senior management.
• Maintaining SOP documentation to identify process gaps and areas of improvement.
• Utilize reporting systems and customize reports to highlight mission-critical data, and then brief the information to stakeholders. These reports will include trends and forecasts, status tracking, and frequency/volume of workload and processing.

QAULIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of independent contract agreements, payroll, benefits, applicable policies/procedures, and taxes.
• A background in and understanding of project management, process improvements, and payments.
• Experience in analyzing alignment of HR/recruitment activities to meet mission objectives, especially relating to workforce demographics.
• Robust verbal and written communication skills and the ability to brief and present information.
• Familiarity with Cable Databases, Lawson, and voucher systems.
• Completed Privacy and HIPAA Web-based training courses.
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word).
• HR/recruitment training/experience and operational/field exposure.
