Director of Career Development and Employer Relations
Full-time 12-month, Exempt Position
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Dean of Students, the Director of Career Development and Employer Relations is responsible for developing, implementing, and assessing programs which support the student and employer experience including: career exploration, search process for internships and first destination employment, career development, maintaining employer relations, supporting employer contact with students. Additionally, this position will be expanded to include workshops for alumni to assist in mid-career transition; executive preparation; and other areas. The individual will collaborate across divisions to support integration of career related learning goals into the curriculum and co-curricular experiences and to both broaden and deepen connections with employers or workforce development organizations in support of university wide goals and the institutional mission.

Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs. Ability to push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights up to twenty-five (25) pounds independently or with assistance. Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods. Requires repetitive motions for operating computer mouse and keyboard. Requires ability to effectively communicate on the telephone. Requires use of computer monitor and ability to comprehend written materials.
