The Benefits Verification Specialist position is responsible for organizing and maintaining information for Carelink for multiple uses within the Carelink Department and developing and flow of streamlined, consistent, and precise information. This position will log activities within the department to use as reports for trends and opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years of experience in a clerical position in healthcare/ skilled nursing.
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Knowledge and versatility in using Excel documents, the minimum intermediate level required.
• Experience using Healthcare EMR systems like Vision
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to multi-task multiple projects efficiently
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language

Essential Functions:

• Compile and distribute morning reports to various groups within the Carelink Department.
• Coordinate with multiple operations to ensure that information/reports required are submitted timely.
• Document referrals/ inquires accurately in CRM and Vision
• Develop and maintain the referral/inquiry logs for all submissions to the Carelink department.
• Host conference calls when needed to gather required information across the departments
• Maintain and sent daily activity reports to leadership of all submissions and admissions through the Carelink department.
• Facilitate strategic physician relationships and assist in the development of physician advisory boards
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with referral hospital personnel
