About the Lead Preschool Position
The Lead Teacher will work under the direction of the Center Director and Assistant Director. This role requires knowledge and experience with classroom management, best early childhood practices and play- based learning approaches. This position is located at our Central Campus location at 12612 N Black Canyon Hwy, Phoenix, AZ 85029.

Duties Include

• Formulating and implementing lesson plans in accordance with students’ developmental trajectories
• Documenting and reporting on students’ progress at regular intervals
• Adhering to licensing requirements to ensure students’ well-being
• Chairing meetings with assistant teachers and parents
• Supervising assistant teachers to ensure that they are performing their functions correctly
• Mentoring assistant teachers, particularly those with limited experience
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organized classroom environment
• Attending monthly staff meetings
• Participating in continuing education as required by state agencies
• Keeping classroom rosters current and complete and assisting with parent sign in/out
• Maintaining daily or weekly communication with parents, via communication apps

Schedule

• Monday-Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM OR
• Monday-Friday 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM

Qualifications Include

• Minimum 12 months experience in a licensed early childhood setting OR a degree in an education related field
• Minimum 12 credit hours of early childhood education or a related field.
• Valid fingerprint clearance card
• Current Negative TB Test
• CPR/First Aid Certification
• Knowledge of play-based learning approach
• Proven experience in curriculum development and implementation
• Prior experience in teaching within this age group
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
• Ability to mentor a diverse group of individuals
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• A passion for early childhood development
• Agree to our Statement of Faith

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour
