Job Description and Duties
The Governor’s Office of Planning & Research (OPR)
seeks to fill a Non Tenured/Fulltime Assistant to the Governor position in the California Volunteers Program within the
Programs Branch.
Under general direction of the Chief Program Officer (Exempt), the College Corps Program Director (Exempt) is
responsible for developing policies and overseeing the design and implementation of the #CaliforniansForAll College Corps program at
colleges and universities throughout the State. The College Corps Program Director oversees and manages a team of 8-10 program staff.
NOTE: Training & Development (T&D) assignments will not be considered for this recruitment.This position is designated under
the Conflict of Interest Code. The position is responsible for making or participating in the making of governmental decisions that may
potentially have a material effect on personal financial interests. The appointee is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of
appointment and once per year. Failure to comply with the Conflict of Interest Code requirements may void the appointment.

Working Conditions
Located in an office setting in downtown
Sacramento, directly across from the State Capitol. Various coffee shops and restaurants conveniently located within walking distance.
Available street parking and State-owned parking garages nearby for convenience. Telework may be available in accordance with OPR’s
Telework Policy.
All OPR employees must reside in California upon appointment.
