POSITION:
The Department of Athletics invites applications for a part-time, non-tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Coach within Collective Bargaining Unit 3. The assistant women’s basketball coach will assist in the everyday operations of the program which may include: assisting with practices, games, film breakdown, scouting, recruiting, academic progress, assist with fundraising activities, planning travel accommodations, complying with NCAA, conference and University rules and policies as well other duties assigned by the head coach.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor’s degree required is required. Other minimum qualifications include: Experience at the four-year level of coaching or playing basketball, excellent oral and written communication skills are required and a valid driver’s license is required for travel, must pass defensive driving and DMV check.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A potential candidate’s consideration will be enhanced by providing evidence of: Playing experience, preferably at the four-year level, ability to organize and administer practice sessions, ability to navigate social media, multi media and go pro, demonstrated ability to provide competent support in the administrative requirements of a basketball program (travel coordination, reconciliation of documents, scheduling, and recruiting), First Aid and CPR certified.

COMPENSATION:
Commensurate with qualifications and experience. Anticipated hiring range is $5,168- $6,946 per month. As a member of the 23-campus CSU System, we offer an extremely competitive benefits package.

CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CLEARANCE NOTICE
The university requires a criminal and/or child abuse background check to be completed for many of its new employees, current employees seeking promotional or transfer opportunities, and current employees assigned new duties.
