EQUIPMENT SYSTEMS SPECIALIST
Equipment Systems Specialist – Foundation
Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs
Salary Range: $3120- $5208/Monthly
Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; non-exempt classification.
Essential Functions: This position reports to the Division of Student Life Information Technology Consultant. Primary responsibilities include the installation, modification, configuration and maintenance of equipment, such as desktops, laptops, audio and video equipment. This also includes business applications and software systems, such as StarRez, Q-Less, Point of Sales, Res Cinema/SWANK, Transact door access and Dining One Card. Will be responsible for learning these applications and systems to support, troubleshoot and expand their capabilities for maintaining and enhancing business operations and meeting divisional IT needs.
Required Qualifications & Experience: Associate of arts degree in electronics, telecommunications, or industrial technology or equivalent education, training, and/or directly related experience. Basic foundation of knowledge and skills in technical systems and equipment which includes a basic knowledge of electronic (digital or analog) theories, mechanical design, and understanding of the operation and use of the equipment and systems commonly utilized in the assigned area. Demonstrated interest and ability to work in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the application status of applicants or continued employment of current CSU employees who may apply for the position.
Desired Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or related field.
